2014: A Look Back

2014 brought a lot of changes to our family. We did a little relaxing....
 played in the snow....
celebrated that Emerie was going to be big sis to a baby brother....
Emerie humored mommy and smiled for the camera a lot the first few months of 2014. I guess she knew how quickly she was going to grow because in my eyes she went from looking like a baby, to looking like a teenager over night.
We celebrated Easter and the resurrection of our Savior....
read lots of books (a girl after momma's heart)...
played outside in the sunshine... and searched for Easter eggs months after Easter was over....
Emerie spent some time pretending to drive Papa's truck...
and some time being chauffeured around....
We celebrated her 2nd birthday with balloons and donuts.
Spent more time in the sunshine playing at the water table....
and had some family photos taken to document year 2!
We had a Minnie Mouse pool party for the big 2 year old (two weeks after her birthday).
(where she obviously preferred the water spigot to the pool)
And her and momma spent some quality time sipping milkshakes and playing at the park, two days before baby Miles made his grand entrance....
On July 5 at 12:03 p.m. we became a family of 4 when our sweet little blessing Miles arrived.
 We spent the summer sleeping....
 playing at the local parks....
 swimming in our pool....
 and snuggling baby Miles.
 We visited a peach orchard....
 and smiled a lot!
We visited an apple orchard in the fall.....

and flew kites in the yard.
We went to the church Harvest Party with a pumpkin and Doc McStuffins...

And we ate until we were stuffed at Thanksgiving....
We had lots of family Christmas celebrations to finish off the year.
It was a great year filled with ups and downs... these pictures obviously only show the ups.... but I can't end this review without mentioning that we lost one of our best and sweetest friends on November 8th and still haven't quite recovered from it (as I am tearing up just typing this). Our sweet Mason was so loved and so very missed.

Wishing everyone many blessings in 2015!
